Ambivalence

I haven't been knitting my Cozy.

It's not difficult. The yarn is fine if somewhat sticky. The end result will be a delight to wrap around my shoulders. I will toss it jauntily and be the envy of the scarf wearing public.

If only I could get myself to work on it.

I whipped up some socks. I wound skeins into balls. I have thumbed through pattern books and lurked on websites. I just haven't knit my Cozy.

Too bad I'm not the kind of person who can put something down and forget about it. (LCBrown wouldn't let me forget, but that's another issue.) I can't just rip it out, either, since I think that I'll enjoy it once it's done.

It's just the doing of it that's the problem.

I'm right there with you. I was really into it at first and now I'm all "meh". Maybe this new week will bring me some knitting motivation.

I haven't worked on mine in about a week. Which is actually bothering me. I've done hats, I finished a scarf, I worked on socks. I'm hoping that I will get some time to work on it today.

Ambivalence here too...

And you're on par for the 52 pair plunge you know...

My cozy is "resting" too. Partly because I have to finish some other things and partly because I'm beginning to think its too green.

Sorry I've been so hard on you. I seem to be the only one that is loving the Cozy! Maybe you need a pep talk.

I love my cozy too. It's relaxing to knit and I don't find it too tedious. I'm also almost finished a pair of socks too. Play offs are great knitting fodder!

Do you need a knitervention?

Thank you for your mixed comments. I don't know if I should feel relieved that there are other knitters not feeling it or on my guard for a group of you to whisk me away to knitting rehab.

Come to think of it, that doesn't sound half bad....
