Hey, Little Dude!

I love the way babies smell. Once you've had a baby and watched them grow for a little while you forget how small they start out.

Meet Arlo. His Mom knits. She also used to work with my brother. Isn't it a small world?

Arlo is a very quick study and will be knitting socks in no time.

Socks like these. They are my Fawkes socks that I finished only moments ago.

And now I'm off to pack. My family is flying to Vancouver for a visit. (Saturday am, I'm ditching them to go on a yarn crawl with Sarah. Don't tell.)

Aw. I'm so glad you thought to bring your camera. Too cute! And I'm not just saying that because I'm his mother and a teensy bit biased. He really is a quick study if he can learn to knit while asleep. I wish I had his powers.

I'm so jealous of your yarn crawl - do post details so that I may live through you.

So, the other night I was watching this documentary on hippos and how they can be quite nasty and protective creatures at times. They've actually attacked canoes and killed tourists (I guess the foreign food tastes better). I asked Dennis "What's the gestational period of a hippo?" Neither of us knew but I said I know t and J's blog would have it. "I thought it was about knitting" he said. Oh the uninitiated! I checked but you overlooked the hippo. Just for everyones infor its 210 to 255 days.

Thanks Cary - I think you're our first official "unknown" reader (or at least regular reader).
We're glad we make you laugh!
