Week 2 of No New Cast-ons....applause please...thank you, thank you
As I work through my current projects, I notice that I have made some progress. Amazing what you can complete when you actually focus on a few things at a time (rather than ELEVEN things at a time...and yes that number is correct; 11 UFOs).
My Tomten....
My Hanami....
This Christmas gift which can not be spoken of....
So I'm making progress and as Oliver Wendell Holmes said:
“The great thing in the world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving.”
I'm moving forward baby, I am.

Hooray for progress!
Jack looks so cute! And I'm sooo proud of you and your restraint. I have to say that because I'm just about to order the set of DPNs from Knitpicks and MORE yarn. I got it bad baby.
I love the Tomten on Jack and the Hanami looks so lovely! I'm madly trying to catch up with mine so I can wear it to a friend's wedding on Oct 20th. Maybe I'll just wear it with the needles if I'm not done.
I love the colour of your Hanami. I was thinking of doing another in a similar colour to yours because it reminds me of one of Van Gogh's most amazing paintings - Almond Blossom. It's spectacular.
Good work, T. I, too, am shocked and proud that you're sticking to your gusn, er, knitting. It's not easy when there are so many tempting things to knit!
And I'm pretty sure the Tomten I'm making is too big, too.
Those Tomtens! I figure after we make a couple we'll have the sizing down. I'm also running out of yarn again. Dammit!
Lauren- the yarn I'm using for the Hanami is the stuff I bought at Make 1 yarns - Mama E's Ceyeber Fiber in Sea.
