Check this out....
And this....
Can you believe it? Two pairs of socks finished in one week. Unbelievable. Now, my goal is to finish the Hanami before starting anything new.
I think I'll cast on the No Sweat Socks from No Sheep for You. These are for my sister-in-law. I have the Columbine colorway in the Wick yarn. The yarn is worsted weight so I think these will go fast. I've never actually knit socks in anything other than fingering weight.
What's everyone else's experience in other weight yarn for socks. What's your favorite weight yarn for socks? What has turned out being disastrous? Comments, concerns?

Well, I am certainly not a yarn guru but I have knit socks in worsted weight. I usually cast on 66 stitches but I do 58 in a worsted yarn. I find you also have to be careful washing especially if it's wool - felting, you know.
BTW, love the presentation!
My biggest concern is making a sock that is very thick and won't fit in your shoes, but I think you'll be ok. I checked out your Wick sock yesterday and I think it will be a very nice, warm sock for someone who is "allergic" to wool.
Yes - "allergic" is true ( I think it's more a sensitivity thing but who am I to argue??).
